Karen Cinnamon in Design Week: 8 August 2010


Design Week asked Karen Cinnamon, what alternative name she would have given the London bicycle hire scheme, which is currently called Barclays Cycle Hire?

"London's public spaces are being occupied by widespread swathes of characterless corporate branding. It's time to go against the grain with 'Bikesy'. A warm and informal name that alludes to the greatest visual revolutionary of our time, the one and only Banksy. All about the outdoors, it represents freedom, adventure, fun and creativity, it would also make the Barclays brand corporate cool, and the city feel inviting. I wonder who Banksy banks with?!"

Karen Cinnamon in Design Week: 25 March 2010


Following the speculation that James Dyson is being lined up for a role in a potential Conservative Government, Design Week asked Karen Cinnamon, who in the design world she would most like to see enter politics and why:

"I’ve dined in his restaurants, flopped on his sofas, and been inspired by his out-of-the-(Habitat)-box thinking. It has to be Terence Conran, our very own design superhero whose Bauhaus-inspired beliefs that ‘“good design should be available to the whole community, not just to a few”, and extraordinary flair for business and visionary innovation, would make him my candidate. I’m confident he won't be claiming expenses for lunches (or duck houses) at Pont de la Tour".

Cinnamon Creative in current issue of Design Week



This week, Design Week reports the story of Cinnamon Creative's exciting new brand identity for top London security firm, 1st Class Protection. Karen Cinnamon has developed the new logo, luxury 12pp brochure, stationery and website for the leading security firm. and is currently working on 1st Class Protection's direct mail campaign targeting high-end residents.

Cinnamon Creative in current issue of Design Week



Design Week reports the story of Cinnamon Creative's exciting new brand identity for Saf, the organic clothing company. Karen Cinnamon has developed the new packaging, graphics, logos and website (www.safclothing.com) for Saf, which is moving from the wholesale market into retail, and is officially launching on 14 November.

All imagery for the campaign has been sourced from Flickr photographers and soon, when Saf World launches, there will be the chance to upload your own photography for future campaigns.
